About the client…
They are an innovative consumer electronics company whose products are sold at Best Buy, Amazon, and other large retailers. The client is located in California and although this is a remote role and you can be based anywhere, you will be REQUIRED to work from 9am to 6pm (with one hour lunch break) Pacific (Los Angeles) time.
The client currently has an influx of Inbound applicants for their open roles and one of their key recruiters is unexpectedly out. They need an additional recruiter for 2-4 weeks (possibly longer depending on business need and performance of temporary recruiter) to drive through the incoming applications, evaluating them for fit, phone screening them, sharing the notes from those phone screens and providing recommendations based on the phone screens.
What You’ll Do:
? Thoroughly read and research the job descriptions that will be provided to you in order to grasp the key qualifications need for each role.
? Review candidate resumes and/or profiles that will be provided to you against the key qualifications (above) and rank the applicants in order of most to least qualified.
? Provide the applicant rankings (above) with a concise justification to the Director of Recruiting.
? Schedule and conduct phone interviews with candidates based on a priority order that Recruiter Director will provide you. You will not need to use video during candidate interviews but video is preferred for your syncs with Recruiting Director and colleagues.
? Provide your phone interview notes, as well as a recommendation for next steps, for each candidate to the Director of Recruiting via our database or spreadsheet.
? The above is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and you might be asked to perform additional duties related to Recruiting, Interviewing, or similar functions.
What Qualifications You MUST Possess:
? 2+ years of phone screening (fka phone interview) candidates for both Business (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Sales, etc.) AND Technical (e.g. SW and HW Engineering) positions.
? 2+ years of evaluating resumes/CV’s (fka resume screening) for both Business (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Sales, etc.) AND Technical (e.g. SW and HW Engineering) positions
? Professional-level writing and speaking skills, including vocabulary, and pronunciation.
? Ability to figure things out based on the puzzle pieces provided to you. You can draw accurate conclusions based on data and prior events. Also, Google is your friend.
? Strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability – allowing you to deliver excellent results in low-oversight and limited-process environments.
? Self-starter with a high sense of urgency. You always push yourself and your peers toward higher performance and improvement rather than looking for ways to “cruise” or “wing it”.
? A quiet home office (or spare room) which will allow you to work without interruption. We love roommates, visitors, plumbers, remodeling crews, kids and pets (we have several) but candidates don’t consider it professional when they’re trying to interview for a job (fka ability to pay rent and feed their family) and they can hear background noise during their call with you.
? A reliable, high speed internet connection and high quality computer.
