The Shared Services Strategy & Business Operations team is a relatively new and fast-growing team with big aspirations of playing a… role in driving this vision forward. The team reports directly to the CFO of Zillow Group, and strives to accelerate and enable the company?s corporate functions to better work towards our strategy. The team collaborates with Zillow?s leaders to lead strategic efforts, stand up and lead critical programs, and build out and handle operational activities associated with running the day-to-day business. Our remit spans a broad range of topics across the business, including innovation opportunities, organizational change, operational improvements, and other critical business needs. About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Manager to join our team. In this role, which blends strategy and execution, you will lead critical initiatives and work with cross-functional leaders to define and influence business priorities, evaluate new opportunities, and develop actionable solutions. You will also drive execution of key programs and lead high-priority operational activities. The role will directly support leadership across Shared Services functions (including Finance, People, and Legal) where all the work will be aimed at achieving or moving faster on our goals – driving revenue growth, getting more efficient, building scale, or improving controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with senior leaders to scope, launch, and/or complete critical initiatives across many topics
Provide strategic and operational support to shared services/corporate functions, including supporting leaders in identifying new opportunities, developing and refining their existing strategies, or unblocking or accelerating faster on current priorities
Conduct analysis, engage with cross-functional partners, and distill findings and recommendations into presentation materials for a senior audience and deliver insights around business problems in a thoughtful and persuasive manner
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of high-priority initiatives by bringing clarity to sophisticated problems, defining roles and responsibilities in a matrixed environment, and monitoring and reporting on key achievements. You will interact most often with the Executive Team, Finance, People, Legal, Compliance, Product & Product Operations, and Strategic Partnerships & Operations
Define goals and success measures to show progress against strategic objectives, and ?quarterback? cross-functional teams to diagnose and address problems when they occur
Continually improve the team?s capabilities by identifying and completing process improvement opportunities
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. ?Remote? employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $117,000.00 – $187,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
Minimum 7+ years of experience with a focus on Strategy or Business Operations and experience leading critical initiatives/organizational change programs; also open to management consulting or investment banking experience
Able to toggle between strategy and execution ? i.e., thinking big picture about strategy, and rolling up sleeves to partner with business leaders to launch a new process
Adaptable and thrives in ambiguous or changing environments with a desire to succeed in a high-reaching environment. Experience driving outcomes where the answers are not always well defined and creating structure
Excel at building strong relationships and leading through influence, cross-functional collaboration to influence peers and executive leadership on sophisticated business topics
Strong project management skills with the ability to set a plan and handle multiple priorities and cross-functional teams
Have a sense of what is important to drive high value outcomes, independently prioritizing your efforts based on strategic return on investment
Strong communication, presentation skills, and case development skills including scoping, creating and communicating to senior leadership audience
Bachelor’s degree (MBA a plus)
