Responsibilities
? Facilitate the entire loan application process, from origination to completion.
? Evaluate loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers with a keen eye for detail.
? Negotiate favorable loan terms and conditions with borrowers, ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement.
? Collect and analyze financial information to gauge the borrower’s ability to repay the loan responsibly.
? Offer guidance and assistance to borrowers throughout the loan application journey, ensuring a smooth experience.
? Uphold compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
? Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of all loan transactions.
? Collaborate seamlessly with underwriters, appraisers, and other professionals involved in the loan process.
? Stay abreast of current market trends, products, and regulations related to mortgage lending.
Qualifications
? Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in the field.
? In-depth knowledge of loan origination processes and procedures.
? Proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry.
? Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and requirements.
? Understanding of escrow procedures and documentation.
? Excellent math skills for precise calculations of interest rates, payments, and other financial figures.
? Experience using accounting software for financial analysis and reporting.
? Knowledge of mortgage servicing practices and procedures.
? Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to clients.
? Strong sales skills, with a focus on achieving targets and meeting deadlines.
? Thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
