PURPOSE OF POSITION
In order to encourage our agents to challenge their personal limits and to support their learning process, trainer admins must play a variety of roles, including:
? Leading safe, conscientious, and professional programs which are sensitive to the needs and issues of the agents.
? Working within a team of trainers to facilitate successful group dynamics and to nurture growth and learning within each agent
? Offering formal and informal lessons throughout the course that are drawn from experience. Licensing Trainer Admins must remain approachable and sensitive to agents? needs as they process their experiences and observations.
? Create Assignments: Trainer Admins assign homework, special projects, and reading assignments to agents tailored to challenging portions of curriculum.
? Training Plans: Plans, directs, and/or coordinates the training and development activities of the assigned service site(s)
? Engage Agents During Class: Trainer Admins will be required to encourage agent participation and lead agent discussions to keep them active and engaged in learning. This also includes pausing instruction to conduct ?teach-backs? to ensure knowledge transfer.
? Provide Feedback: Trainer Admins provide feedback to agents and discuss coursework performance.
? Assess Agent Performance: Trainer Admins assess and monitor individual agent performance in collaboration with training coordinators to ensure agents are keeping up with the curriculum and not falling behind.
? Maintain Availability: Trainer Admin communicate with agents to provide progress reports and updates through online chat sessions and email. They may also hold online ?office hours? so agents can communicate with them at their convenience.
? Reporting: Trainer Admins track agent attendance and other progress reporting in collaboration with training.
? Licensed, ideally in Property and Casualty, Personal Lines or Life and Health with training in these areas or related work experience.
? 3-5 years of proven success as an internal and/or external training and development practitioner with experience coaching, mentoring and developing others in a complex, fast-paced insurance environment.
? Solid understanding of training processes and practices for adult learners.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Continuously demonstrate a high sense of urgency
? Knowledge of licensing processes, continuing education requirements and background check requirements recommended
? Relationship management experience required
? Must have a keen sense of attention to detail, take initiative and meet high pressure deadlines
? Typing speed of at least 40 wpm
? Must be flexible with availability and schedule based on business needs
? Must be prompt and dependable
? Must pass mandatory background checks which may include pre-screenings, illegal drug tests and credit checks
