Department Athletics Women’s Volleyball Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Head Indoor Volleyball Coach, lead the Beach Volleyball program as Head Coach while also serving as Recruiting Coordinator for the Indoor Volleyball program. Job Description JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Beach Volleyball Coaching (55%) Serve as Head Coach, Beach Volleyball. Coordinate all instruction, including practices and training. Recruiting (20%) Build the Beach Volleyball team through the identification and relationship cultivation of potential Beach Volleyball recruits. Serve as Recruiting Coordinator for Indoor Volleyball program. Assist the Head Coach, Volleyball in the identification and cultivation of prospective indoor Volleyball student-athletes. Beach Volleyball Operations (10%) Coordinate all travel for the Beach Volleyball program. Create season schedule, taking into account travel advantages and budget. Lead the budget and finance operations of Beach Volleyball program. In coordination with Head Coach, Volleyball, coordinate fundraising activities to benefit the Beach Volleyball program. Student-Athlete Development (10%) Emphasize student-athlete academic achievement in all program operations for both Beach Volleyball and Indoor Volleyball. Supervise student-athlete conduct. Serve as the responsible party for Beach Volleyball and assist Head Coach, Volleyball with Indoor Volleyball student-athletes. Observe all compliance rules and regulations and ensure all volleyball student-athletes do the same. Other duties as assigned (5%) Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Indoor Volleyball Coach, Associate Athletics Director for Operations & Capital Projects and Vice President of Athletics & Recreation Responsible for adhering to and orienting student-athletes to the policies and regulations of the NCAA, Southland Conference, University of Louisiana System, and University New Orleans REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor?s degree 2 years of beach volleyball experience, including collegiate playing/coaching and/or club experience. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of rules and regulations of the NCAA, Southland Conference, University of Louisiana System, and University New Orleans Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel, as required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master?s degree 5 years of volleyball experience in a college athletics department Working knowledge of NCAA and Southland Conference rules and regulations Required Attachments Please upload the following documents in the Resume/Cover Letter section.
