Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Fields of Study: Accounting
Additional Educational Requirements: Job seekers must meet all minimum requirements for CPA licensure per respective state regulations
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years
Certification(s) Required: CPA or commitment to pass the CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA licensure, Enrolled Agent, or Member of the Bar.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge and/or a proven track record of success in tax compliance and consulting services for the real estate industry.
Proficiency in tax research methods, including Westlaw, RIA, and CCH.
Expertise in providing tax services to real estate owners, developers, and publicly traded REITs.
Experience in producing and reviewing real estate partnership tax returns and investment trust corporate returns.
Strong ability to identify and address client needs, actively participate in client discussions, and communicate a broad range of Firm services.
Proven project management skills, including the ability to prepare concise, accurate documents and balance project economics management.
An environment that fosters teamwork and respects the work-life quality of team members.
Providing constructive feedback in a timely manner and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
Ability to research business and industry trends to develop a point of view to leverage in assisting with proposals.
Experience with automation and digitization in a professional services environment.
Exposure to pricing, client value, and the negotiation process, including reviewing contracts and introducing new pricing options.
