Capital One has been a pioneer through our tech journey as the first large bank to go all in on the public cloud, while operating in a complex and highly regulated business environment. Through this journey, we’ve developed a suite of internal solutions uniquely designed to meet the challenges of a digital-first, cloud-first business at scale. We also recognize that many other businesses are facing similar data management needs as they accelerate their cloud and data journeys. We launched our first enterprise B2B software product, Slingshot, in 2022. Today, we are continuing to scale Slingshot while exploring how other internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud.
Who we are searching for:
As Product Director, you will own the tech stack that enables the go-to-market capability of Capital One’s first B2B SaaS Business, Capital One Software. You will lead a multi-functional team of product managers and software engineers to deliver a revenue technology platform that accelerates sales and offers a seamless experience for our field team and customers.
On any given day you’ll be:

Expanding Value: Continuously identify opportunities to improve and expand the value from our platform, finding new uses to solve new problems, bringing valuable external tools into our environment to improve our platform, and finding new ways to creatively meet business requirements for high value initiatives
? Sharing openly. Telling stories that change the way people think about building products and solving problems, and that illustrate the power of what software can do to make them even better
? Succeeding strategically. Solving the right problem and holding on the wrong one; knowing when to say no, and when to say an enthusiastic yes

What you’ll do:
– Platform Enhancements: Working with various design, product, and technical stakeholders, you’ll work to identify high value enhancements, define requirements, and deliver measurable results to our Field Associates
– Strategic Roadmap Development: Working with Field and Business stakeholders, you’ll build a roadmap that supports a growth agenda and foundational needs for a well-managed platform
– Expand Value: Continuously identify opportunities to improve and expand the value from our Platform, finding new uses to solve new problems, bringing valuable external tools into our environment to improve our platform, and find ways to creatively meet business requirements for high value initiatives

? You’ll govern the responsible and efficient application of technology resources by assessing opportunities for reusing existing solutions, clearly defining minimum viable products, and always building with extensibility in mind

? You’ll establish a long-term product portfolio strategy, informed by customer and business needs, and partner with leaders and stakeholders to regularly drive alignment, secure resources and overcome impediments
? You’ll attract, grow, empower, and inspire top product talent as they develop and deliver on their local product strategy in an iterative, outcome-focused and well-managed way
The ideal candidate should:
? Have technical understanding of CRM tools, Salesforce Sales Cloud experience is a plus
? Demonstrate experience solving complex problems with cross-functional stakeholders
? Demonstrate experience developing a strategic roadmap that balances stakeholder intent and well-managed activities
? Demonstrate experience managing the day-to-day work for an engineering team
? Experience working with Engineering, Design, Business stakeholders, and/or Field Sales Associates
? Experience working with and managing multiple technology vendors
Basic Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
? At least 7 years of experience in digital product management
Preferred Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
? MBA or Master’s degree
? 5 years of experience in Agile product management
? 5 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into digital products that accelerate revenue growth

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $197,500 – $225,400 for Director, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
