Job Description

As a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the pharmacys daily operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely entry of prescription information into our pharmacy systems. This role requires precision, organization, and a strong dedication to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy database.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of prescription orders.
Process and manage insurance claims and prior authorizations.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescription details when needed.
Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Uphold patient confidentiality and data security standards.
Assist in inventory management and other pharmacy-related tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or in the process of obtaining certification.
Prior experience in pharmacy data entry is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of pharmacy software and prescription processing systems.
Familiarity with insurance claim processing is a plus.
