What You?ll Do Across the City and County of Denver, you will be place in one of the several agencies that support the work of our city agencies. Many departments seek emerging talent (interns and fellows) to support our engineering endeavors with our internal and external stakeholders. As a Technical Intern you will placed under the Supervision of a subject matter expert or Department Supervisor to assist in performing work aligned to one of the following tracks: Computer Engineering Software Engineering Cyber Security IT Help Desk Technical Operations Graphic Designer Web Developer Network Administrator System Administrator Technical Project Manager Technical System Analyst About You Our ideal candidate will have/be: Pursing a certificate, licensure, or degree in Graphic Design, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering or closely related field Ability to intern May through September for an average of 10-20 hours per week with the possibility of an internship extension. Clear understanding of engineering concepts Conduct basic documentation and reporting as needed. Basic end-user support to prevent stakeholder service delays for basic technical issues. Field work and interacting with customers. Perform other related duties as required. Employ a customer service approach and present information about technical issues clearly, both verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize critical technical issues based on stakeholder needs and impact on business needs. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information. Minimum qualifications: Education: Current enrollment in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelor?s, or higher degree or a recently graduate (completed specified program within less than 1 year of completion) Experience: None Education and Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted Licensure and certifications: By position Mandatory documentation required to be considered for this position: 1-2 page Resume (with most current information) Transcripts ? either official or unofficial; dated within your current academic term What We Offer The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education. You will be onboarded with a cohort of peers to begin to help you develop your network across the City and so you can go through similar programming throughout your time at the City. Location Flexibility The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field several days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days.
