The US Postal Service is investing $20 billion towards the mail and package processing network, including USPS facility space upgrades and procurement of new processing equipment. MBA… CSi has a service support contract with the US Postal Service and is looking for Program Managers who can help manage various aspects of this implementation of national processing strategies, policies, and initiatives. The Program Manager will manage change and facilitate adoption of new processes and procedures to reduce costs and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the US Postal Service. The following include the primary responsibilities of the Program Manager:
Essential Functions :
? Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Generally needs to coordinate with internal stakeholders, equipment suppliers and the internal user community for the project product (equipment).
? Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
? Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
? Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
? Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
? A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
? Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Education & Experience :
? Bachelor’s degree.
? Requires more than 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area, preferably commercial or industrial equipment.
? Prefer experience in vendor management and field deployment for industrial production equipment.
? Requires an expert level of managing complicated schedules, costs, resource estimation, and budget tracking with MS Project.
? Requires daily familiarity and expertise with MS Teams and collaboration.
? Expertise in engaging with standard PMO activities such as schedule and cost tracking, maintaining key documents and artifacts, and progress reporting.
? Preferred: Expertise in budget and financial task management. Capable of maintaining and tracking budgets, requisitions, and invoices across multiple concurrent programs.
? Preferred: Lean Six Sigma or Green/Black/Master Black Belt certifications.
? Preferred: Former Postal employee or candidate with Postal experience.
Additional Requirements:
? Proficiency using MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
? Ability to travel and work flexible hours when needed.
? Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test.
? Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
